We have been given 8 additional weeks of vacation due to the following employees being granted an extra week due to the 2025 National Agreement: RJ Steiner, BE Kooper, SA Martinec, J Nelson, JS Peil, JE Parks, BM Phelps, TJ Thon. These 8 people are required to bid on an open week as we all have 2 weeks of floaters and cannot float another week.
***Important info***
* The 8 available weeks are as follows:
July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31.
* These weeks are available for EVERYONE on the DSRE vacation roster to bid on and will be done in seniority order.
* You CANNOT use a week of floaters to bid on these new open weeks!
* Unless you are one of the 8 who got an extra week you must drop a week you currently have and bid on an open week.
* Due to this, I will have to change how we process and handle the bids because it will be time-consuming with all the changes. Also trying to make this as fair as possible to give people an opportunity to see whats open and to have a chance to bid the open weeks.
* Bids will need to be put in via the website or by texting me at 406-697-1191. I will not be able to guarantee I can make it to the mailbox at the depot so it will need to be done electronically.
I am putting this out today 02/12/2026, the initial bidding for these weeks will close on 02/15/2026 @ 2359. After that it will go on 3 day cycles closing @ 2359 on these nights, or until all weeks are filled:
